Membership of Yoga Alliance America can be held by paying a nominal annual fee. 

Yoga Practitioners = all who are interested in practicing yoga 

Yoga Teachers = all who teach yoga, either privately or employed by some organization/institution

Yoga Centers/Schools = all institutions and organizations that take part in spreading the yogic knowledge and wisdom

Certification is a paid process open to both individuals and institutions.

There are two ways to obtain the Individual Certification:

1) If you are a yoga practitioner and would like to become a yoga teacher certified by Yoga Alliance America and Yoga Alliance International, attend a Teacher Training Course (either the 100-hr course for Basic Level Certification, the 200-hr course for Intermediate Level Certification, or the 500-hr course for Advanced Level Certification). This can be done in many places. For more information, contact us.

2) If you already teach yoga and/or hold a teaching certificate issued by an institution, why not choose to go through an online certification interview (through video calls) with a Yoga Alliance America representative? Because Yoga Alliance America is a division of Yoga Alliance International, your Yoga Alliance America certification will be automatically recognized worldwide, which means you will be able to teach anywhere in the world with this certification.  Participants will be graded based on the Grading Scheme outlined on the Yoga Alliance International website.  For more information, contact us.    

Institutional Certification: a representative from your institution and a representative from Yoga Alliance America will arrange an online interview (through video calls) at a mutually agreed time. Your institution will be graded on the facilities available and the performance of the representative during the interview.  Because Yoga Alliance America is a division of Yoga Alliance International, the Yoga Alliance America certification held by your institution will be automatically recognized worldwide.  After your institution becomes certified with Yoga Alliance America and Yoga Alliance International, the graduates of your school will also hold the certification recognized and authorized by Yoga Alliance America and Yoga Alliance International, which means they will be able to teach anywhere in the world.  For more information, contact us.
